Projects Pool Grants
The United Arts Appeal of Chautauqua County accepts Projects Pool Grants Program applications from Chautauqua County Non-profit organizations and local individual artists.. The next grants cycle begins in early 2027.
An artist who has been a Chautauqua County resident for at least one year and works in any artistic discipline, including but not limited to crafts, dance, film, fiction, poetry, printmaking, sculpture, painting, video, play writing, performance, music composition and photography, may apply. Funding priority will be given to those applicants who demonstrate that a Projects Pool grant would have significant career impact or promote artistic development for the individual artist.

The United Arts Appeal of Chautauqua County has recently announced the recipients of its 2026 Projects Pool Grants Program. This year, four local organizations will receive funding to advance creative projects that enrich the cultural life of the region:

Audubon Community Nature Center - Photography: Photo Contest Exhibit Improvements

Jamestown Farmers Market - Paper Cuts: Annual Market Art Commission

Mental Health Association in Chautauqua County - Painting, Sculpting, Writing, Sewing and Crochet: Art Recovery Exhibit 2026

In addition to providing operational support for six of the county’s largest arts organizations, UAA awards Projects Pool Grants annually to fund specific artistic initiatives. Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations and individual artists who have resided in Chautauqua County for at least one year, working in any artistic discipline.
All applications undergo a rigorous review process. Submissions are first screened for eligibility and completeness, then evaluated by an advisory panel of artists and community leaders. Final recommendations are submitted to the UAA Board of Directors for approval.
“The Projects Pool Grants are one of the most direct ways we invest in the creative fabric of our county,” said Rick Davis, United Arts Appeal President. “These projects reflect the talent, diversity, and community impact of arts in Chautauqua County.”
UAA member organizations include the Chautauqua Regional Youth Ballet, Community Music Project, 1891 Fredonia Opera House Performing Arts Center, Infinity Visual and Performing Arts, Lucille Ball Little Theatre of Jamestown, and Western New York Chamber Orchestra.
